The pages of the website www.elnaturalista.com have been designed and revised according to guidelines designed in the document 'Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0' prepared by the W3C WAI working group.
The purpose of these guidelines is to make the information offered on the Internet accessible to all citizens. The main aspects adopted include the following:
Standards
The language used for contents and structure is XHTML 1.0, and the arrangement and graphical representation of elements is achieved through Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). All pages have been validated to XHTML 1.0 and CSS 1.0.
Graphics
All graphics include a brief description in the alt attribute.
Links
All links include a brief description in the title attribute.
Font size
The fonts used have relative dimensions, allowing users to control their size with their browser.
Browsing
The website provides consistent browsing maintaining the same structure in all its pages. This structure consist of:
- A horizontal navigation bar at the top of each page with links to the website’s main sections
- A second horizontal navigation bar, located under the first one, with links to the subsections of each main section.
- A third horizontal navigation bar at the bottom of each page to access the following sections: Contact, FAQ, Work for us, Site Map, Accessibility, Legal notice, Privacy and language selection and audio player.
- A central area with the contents of the website.
Design
The website uses cascading style sheet (CSS) layers for the visual design of its pages. Thus, the content depends on the presentation and users who wish to do so, can browse for information disabling loading of style sheets in their browser.
Accessibility level
The contents of the website www.elnaturalista.com (except for the e-shop, stores, the access to the login page and the contents in flash) have been validated using the TAW and W3C Markup Validation Service tools.
The level of accessibility achieved is A with double A (AA) compliance of some standards.
